Accessibility Statement – INTERGATOR

INTERGATOR is a web-based enterprise search and knowledge discovery platform. The goal of the user interface is to provide information as efficiently, clearly structured, and accessibly as possible for different user groups.

The development of the INTERGATOR user interface takes fundamental principles of digital accessibility into account. The aim is to enable the broadest possible usability of the platform for different requirements and usage situations.

Alignment with International Standards

The INTERGATOR user interface is aligned with established standards for accessible information technology.

In particular, the following guidelines are taken into account:

  • WCAG 2.1 – Web Content Accessibility Guidelines
  • EN 301 549 – European standard for accessible information and communication technology
  • Material Design Accessibility Guidelines

The implementation aims to support WCAG Level AA conformity as extensively as possible.

Supported Accessibility Features

The INTERGATOR user interface supports various features that enable low-barrier use.

Keyboard Accessibility

  • Core functions of the application can be accessed via keyboard.
  • Focus states of interactive elements are visually highlighted.

Structured User Interface

  • Clear visual hierarchy of content
  • Consistent navigation within the application
  • Structured presentation of search results and information sources

Text-Based Interaction

Interaction with INTERGATOR is predominantly text-based, for example through:

  • Search queries
  • Result lists
  • Chat-based knowledge queries

This allows content to be accessed without complex visual interpretation.

Support for Assistive Technologies

INTERGATOR uses semantically structured web technologies and therefore generally supports the use of assistive technologies such as screen readers.

Responsive Display

The user interface is designed for different screen sizes and supports the zoom functions of modern web browsers.

Integration into Existing Information Systems

INTERGATOR integrates content from various enterprise systems, such as document management systems, intranets, databases, or file systems. The accessibility of individual content may therefore partly depend on the respective source systems, document formats, or provided metadata.

Continuous Development

The INTERGATOR user interface is continuously developed further. Aspects of digital accessibility are regularly reviewed and taken into account as part of this ongoing development.

Accessibility Feedback

Should users encounter barriers or have suggestions for improving the accessibility of INTERGATOR, we welcome corresponding feedback.
