Series 3 – Context-dependent search suggestions
Suggestions coming up by statistic relations are known since internet search engines have been used. These suggestions encourage more complex queries, which are not always of relevance. Data based applications offer support for filling forms and search fields, prepared by an exact list of valid feeds.
Suggestions made by inter:gator are generated by an adapted combination of both methods.
Suggestions are formed by using particular algorithm, which observe frequently used terms or their combinations. Every suggestion guarantees results.
In the case, that a specific search context is given, f.e. a widget for contact search at dashboard, only context-relevant suggestions are shown. Searching for contacts you will get names of contact persons and companies.
Problems for search engines are mistakes in writing and typing. They often cause that no result can be found. In this case the use of a fault-tolerant search helps to propose a term, that is fairly similar to the written term and so search results will show up.
